Giving Confession
“Lord we faithfully and cheerfully worship you with our giving of tithes and offerings. We believe as we sow seed to establish the vision of your house, you will also establish ours. As a result of our giving we thank you for raises, increases, bonuses, gifts,canceled debt and surprise checks in the mail.
We bless you for blessing our health, giving us a sound mind, and quality relationships. Now help us God to know you as the God who is for us and to help people discover your purpose for their life in Jesus Name, Amen.”
Why we give
Money and church can be a touchy issue – but it doesn’t have to be.
We don’t give because God needs our money, and we don’t give because the church needs our money. It’s much bigger than that. We give because God asked us to, and following through shows that we trust Him.
God knows that your loyalty is found where your money is (Matthew 6:19-21). And because God wants to be first in our lives, he asks us to trust Him with our money.
